Mount Bromo was the last leg of my first ever Indonesian adventure with Zu and friends. Prior to this, I have never been to Indonesia so I have to thank Zu for introducing me to mountain trekking (2 volcanoes at that) as well.
Compared to Ijen, Mount Bromo is a relative breeze climbing up the crater. Having had most of its crater blown off by relatively recent eruptions helps.

above ^ The volcanic slopes littered with ashen dust. It made me feel like I was in the midst of an ocean wave too.

above ^ Crowds at the crater rim. You can walk along the narrow edge of the rim but it is really dangerous. You do not want to fall on the wrong side of the edge.
